Catastrophe Major Medical
Effective September 1, 2015, the NYSUT Member Benefits Catastrophe Major Medical Insurance Trust began self-insuring the Catastrophe Major Medical (CMM) Plan (previously underwritten by The United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York prior to 2014 and previously self-insured by the NYSUT Member Benefits Trust from January 2014 through August 2015).
The CMM Plan is considered a grandfathered health care program under health care reform and remains closed to new applicants.
