Voluntary Vision Plan provides annual benefit
Every year, participants in the NYSUT Member Benefits Trust-endorsed voluntary Vision Plan are entitled to receive a complete eye exam, including glaucoma testing and dilation when professionally indicated, and one pair of eyeglasses (lenses and frames). A contact lens benefit may be used in lieu of frames and lenses.
You have the choice of glass or plastic lenses in single vision, bifocal or trifocal, and more than 220 frames with no co-pay.
The plan includes many types of lenses and coatings such as standard progressive lenses, scratch-resistant coating and ultraviolet coating.
