NYSUT Member Benefits Webinar Resource Center

Previous Webinars:
The 2020 NYSUT Member Benefits Trustee Education & Wellness Workshop was held in an all-virtual format on November 14, 2020.

Every other year, Member Benefits provides training and resources designed for benefit fund trustees on a variety of related topics. This year, in light of the ongoing pandemic, we decided to add a wellness component to these workshops.

These sessions were presented by highly-qualified and credentialed individuals, including representatives from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

Please Note: To view these pre-recorded sessions in the NYSUT Member Benefits Toolkit, you will need to log in with your NYSUT ID Number/Username and Password. If you have not previously logged in to the "My NYSUT" section of the NYSUT Member Benefits website, you will be prompted to do so.

Member Benefits partnered with Stacey Braun Associates, Inc. (provider of our endorsed Financial Counseling Program) in Summer 2020 to host more than a dozen retirement planning webinars along with webinars related to the impact of COVID-19 on personal finances.

These virtual events were attended by thousands of NYSUT members since the beginning of the summer and have received wonderful feedback. Attendees were able to ask and receive answers to questions in real time as well as download handouts and other information during the sessions.

Webinar Best Practices:
The following are some helpful tips to make sure you have a great virtual experience for webinars hosted by Member Benefits and/or our endorsed program providers:

1. If you are using any firewall, anti-virus or ad-blocking software on your home computer, those programs may affect your ability to enter the CMM webinar; please disable those prior to joining the webinar.

2. If you are using a school/work computer or school/work Wi-Fi, there may be blocking software that may prohibit you from entering the webinar.

3. There is no special software or downloading needed to view this webinar. However, as a best practice, we have found Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to be the best browsers for this type of webinar; please make sure those web browsers are up-to-date.

4. If you are having trouble connecting to the webinar, we advise that you try closing your browser and re-entering the webinar. You will also want to make sure that you have a strong Wi-Fi signal to be able to view the webinar.

5. If you have lost your registration link for the webinar, please be aware that reminder registration links will be sent multiple times before each webinar – including up to 15 minutes prior.
