The trustees of NYSUT Member Benefits Trust are pleased to announce the endorsement of a new dental plan for in-service members. The plan, provided by MetLife, becomes available Jan.1.

Now, with the Retiree Dental Plan (endorsed for 16 years) and the new In-Service Dental Plan, both retiree and in-service members have a dental plan available to them.

The plan provides benefits for preventive, basic restorative and major restorative services.

Preventive services include cleanings, exams, fluoride treatments and bitewing x-rays. Examples of basic restorative services are fillings, simple extractions, lab tests, periodontic maintenance and fullmouth x-rays.
