MetLife and Farmers have pledged to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for NYSUT members and their families.
The Farmers Insurance Group® has acquired the MetLife Auto & Home business from MetLife, Inc.
MetLife and Farmers have made it clear to NYSUT Member Benefits how much they value the NYSUT membership and pledged to ensure this transition is as smooth as possible for members and their families.
As evidence of that pledge, MetLife and Farmers have a long-term agreement in place to keep MetLife involved in the administration and customer service of this program. More information about the Farmers acquisition will be provided as it becomes available.
Note: There will be no immediate changes to MetLife Auto & Home policies, and MetLife Auto & Home policyholders do not need to take any actions at this time. There will be no change in pricing or discounts in place for existing policies. New policies will be eligible for the same discounts available to current policyholders.
